Notes from the fields
Welcome to the OTENTIQ Journal.
This is not a travel blog. It is a collection of impressions from how your retreat could look like, just to inspire you.
Read. Pause. And discover what makes retreats truly transformative.

Retreat (Example): TASTE ADVENTURE HASPENGOUW | From Ground to Mouth
From 'I don't like that' to 'Can I taste a bit more?' A 3-day parent-child weekend for picky eaters (6-14y). September, in the middle of apple & harvest season. No more table battles, just discovering together.
The Weekend
Day 1 | ARRIVE: Arrival at the private farmhouse. We create our own table rules together. What helps you dare to taste? No 'finish your plate'.
Day 2 | FARM & COLOURS:
- Morning: Autonomy at the farm.
Pick it yourself, choose it yourself. Together to the farm: digging potatoes, pulling carrots. Your child chooses which vegetable gets to come home. - Afternoon: Cooking Atelier 'Eating Colours'.
No recipe, just experiment. Purple purée, yellow carrot chips, green pesto to lick. We cook by colour, not by pressure. Look, smell, lick, taste.
Day 3 | TASTE & TAKE HOME: Little market and picnic, where children get to choose one new thing to taste.
Practical: price per duo (parent and child) all inclusive. Stay, food, farmers, private chef, guidance.
6 duos max. Safe, low threshold, close to home.
OTENTIQ curation: locations, farm, storytelling, and marketing.

The Journey - Seoul and Jeju Island

Why barrier is the new anti-aging.In Seoul we go into the lab — microbiome testing, TEWL measurement, fermentation science. With Korean dermatologists and K-beauty formulators. We don't talk about perfect skin. We talk about a strong barrier.
Day 4–6 | JEJU ISLAND — THE SEED: Hands in soil, understanding every drop. Flight to Jeju, Podo Hotel. At dawn in the camellia fields — picking seeds with local women, cold-pressing oil, walking through green tea terraces. From seed to drop. From understanding to embodying. Camellia harvest at sunrise, green tea picking and fermentation workshop, Hanbang herbal ritual.

Retreat (Example): PRAGUE | WRITERS' UNWINDING
A 4-day retreat for writers who need silence to hear their own sentence again.
Prague was written before it was built.
Kafka walked here to avoid writing. Kundera left because he couldn't. Havel wrote in a brewery, Hrabal in a pub. Prague doesn't inspire. It gives you permission to be quiet, contradictory, and unfinished.
No prompts. No sharing circles. Just rooms with light, gardens with walls, and a city that knows how to keep a secret.
We follow writers' actual routes, not literary tours.
Day 1 | ARRIVAL & SILENCE: Arrive. Desk faces courtyard, not street. At Vyšehrad walls, opening circle. Three rules: no bios, no pitches, no feedback unless asked. Sunset over the Vltava. Then the first hour of writing, alone.
Day 2 | GARDENS & ROUTINES: Vrtba Garden, private. Tea from a thermos. Prague waking below you, first pages. Through Kampa, over Charles Bridge, not to stay, to cross. To Vojanovy Sady, Prague's oldest garden. Writing in the glasshouse, palms overhead, quiet that holds. Strahov. Alone in the library before it opens, ... wood, dust, 200,000 spines. Then to the monastery garden to write. Monks' beer to close, if you wish. Evening without plan. Prague has always written best after dark.
Day 3 | PUBS & FOREST: Dawn on the Vltava. Rowing from Slovanský Island, mist on the water. No phones. Divoká Šárka — wild gorge, twenty minutes by tram and a century away. Rocks, pools, meadow. Writing on the ground, outside. A walk with an ecologist who knows every Czech name for what grows. Then Hrabal's pub, back room at U Zlatého Tygra. One beer, cheap soup. Writing among people who don't care that you are a writer. The most honest place in Prague.
Day 4 | LIGHT & LEAVING: Letná Park at sunrise. Last writing block — bridges below, one hundred spires pink, city waking. Final breakfast at Café Louvre. Billiard tables, the same marble tops as in 1902. We exchange handwritten addresses, not Instagram. No readings. No critiques. If you want feedback, you ask one person to walk with you.
Practical:
For whom: Writers stuck, between books, or who need unwinding more than inspiration. Fiction, memoir, journalism, not content.
Group: max. 6 writers. Curated quiet, private access, and a city that let's you disappear.
OTENTIQ curation: locations, hotels, storytelling, and marketing.
