Comfort meets authenticity.

I am a freelance Travel Designer & Product Manager. I partner with wellbeing practitioners to co-create retreats that are felt, not just attended.

At the heart of every journey: local stories and human encounters. Created with care for the solo traveller, and felt by all.

My mission is simple: to create connection, not just visitation.

Meet Bee

My name is Bieke, but call me Bee — it is a translation of my name. And it fits.Like a bee, I am drawn to what is real. To places you do not just visit to see, but to feel.

That is OTENTIQ. Real encounters. Travelling light. Honouring what is authentic. Connecting by name. Embracing what is diverse. Finding beauty in what is unscripted.

From journeys to retreats.

My love of real encounters began early — with African dance and with stories.

Later, I studied in Sweden alongside eighty people from every continent. The world came to me before I went out to meet it.

Then came France. Seven years in Lyon and its surroundings — my second home.

My first journey beyond Europe led me through Costa Rica — across trails, rivers and volcanoes — to Nicaragua, to my eldest brother at the university in Managua. He showed me another reality, and what travel truly means when respect is your compass.

Many countries followed. East and West Africa. Central Asia and the Himalayas. Southeast Asia. The Americas. And the quiet north of Europe, from Iceland to Greece.

But the shift came in Kerala, in the south of India, with six women. A journey in perfect balance: wellbeing, exceptional food, genuine encounters. Impeccably organised, yet never forced.

There I understood what a retreat should be: light to carry, authentic at its core, held with care. When a renowned travel house invited me to curate my first journeys to Lyon and Vietnam, organising became something else: crafting encounters. Creating became curating.

Today, with you.

Today, that is what I offer in partnership with you.

At OTENTIQ Journeys, we do not simply design retreats. We co-create yours. You bring your practice, your vision, your community. I bring curation, logistics and quiet, meticulous care — venues, culinary arrangements, bookings, participant care and on-the-ground support.

Your name remains on the invitation. Your method remains at the centre. Your clients feel held, because you are free to hold them.We create encounters. With local hosts who share their stories. With places that do not shout luxury, but whisper it. With the same care for people, place and purpose I first learned on that road to Nicaragua.

Because the most beautiful retreat is never just a destination.

It is a meeting of people.

And it begins with yours.
